Great Resources: Design and Font Bundles

(Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links. Check out my Affiliate Disclaimer for more info)

I discovered something over the past week that I'm super excited to share with you guys:

DesignBundles.net and FontBundles.net!

If you're a blogger, designer, crafter, or anyone else who needs commercial use graphics and fonts, then these sister sites are the place for you.  They have tons of images, photos, .svg cut files, graphics, templates, fonts, and other goodies available for purchase.  All purchases come with one of two commercial use licenses, so you can use them in products that are meant to be sold!  Just make sure you read over the licenses so you purchase the one that's right for you.

They also have Free Downloads on both sites available every week, and Font Bundles has Dollar Deal fonts regularly.

You get even more freebies if you sign up for the Plus membership.  The membership for one site is $5.99 per month, or you can get Plus access to both for $7.99 per month, which is what I did because it was the better deal.  I downloaded well over 100 different fonts and images in my first few hours of having the membership.  And they have new free Plus Products every week as well!

These were just too darn cute to pass up for me.  And this is just a few of the cute things I downloaded!

I can't wait to design some cute things for my Etsy shop with these goodies. :-)

If you do any kind of design to sell and need graphics, I highly recommend Design and Font Bundles.  Download some goodies and get creative!

5 Unusual Things to Do for Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day: a day where you wait in line for hours to eat dinner and spend an obnoxious amount of money on flowers.  Fun the first time, but kind of boring after awhile.

Nick and my anniversary is the day before Valentine's Day, so we always have a double holiday to worry about.  Usually, we celebrate them together by going on a mini trip somewhere.  Or a big trip to Disney World.  You know, whatever we're feeling at the time.

This year though I was looking for something different to do a little closer to home, and boy, did my search bring up some interesting results!

So I present to you my list of unusual things to do for Valentine's Day.  Most of these are in the Kentucky-Ohio-West Virginia area, but I'm sure there are some interesting things to do in your area if you look hard enough!

Take a Tour of a Chocolate Factory

One of my favorite plans that I found by far was touring the Old Kentucky Chocolate Factory and sampling some yummy chocolate.  They do tours Monday thru Thursday at 10:00am by appointment, and it sounds like a super fun and inexpensive way to enjoy Valentine's Day.

Have Dinner and Spend the Night in a Castle

Also here in Kentucky is a very unusual site: an actual castle.  This particular castle is also a pretty amazing hotel, complete with fancy restaurant, and they're doing a pretty amazing Valentine's Day Bash.

A four course dinner, champagne, chocolates, and rooftop s'mores in a castle.  Then, if you're lucky enough, snag a room to spend the night and feel even more like royalty.  Ticket's are pretty pricy ($300 per couple), but I can't think of a more romantic place to spend Valentine's Day!

Take a Dinner Cruise in Cincinnati

BB Riverboats in Cincinnati Ohio is a company that offers cruises up the Ohio River, and their doing Valentine's Day dinner cruises for a few nights during the Valentine's week.  For $60 per adult, you can have a very yummy sounding dinner while enjoying the Cincinnati Skyline.  They even offer souvenir photos to remember your romantic night!

Have Dinner at a Zoo

Also in Cincinnati is this fun dinner idea: Dinner at the Cincinnati Zoo.  This zoo is one of my favorites, and not just because it's the home of Fiona the Hippo.  For $175 per couple, you can enjoy some special zoo events like learning about "The Wild Side of Love" and enjoy a dinner with a champagne toast that evening.  There's even wine and an open bar if that's what you fancy.

Spend the Night in a Haunted Penitentiary

If scary things are more your speed, then this one's for you.  The Moundsville West Virginia Penitentiary does haunted tours often, but they're doing a special event for Valentine's Day: "Into the Heart of the Dungeon."  After a nice romantic dinner, you'll be locked up in the penitentiary for a night of being chased, tied up, blindfolded, and dragged around.  The site warns that bruises and cuts should be expected, and police and EMTs will be on site for emergencies.  If you want an extreme thrill for Valentine's Day, head to Moundsville.

Shop Update

The first shop Update of 2018!  Hopefully the first of many for the year.

I haven't had much up in the Etsy shop in awhile because I've been so stupid busy, but I recently uploaded some blogging related goodies.

While making my Social Media Icons, I made a few extras in my current favorite Pantone colors!  They're available for digital download over on my shop Doodleleaf.

If you're in need of some icons in a custom color, just message me on Etsy and I'll make it happen for you!
